Local Shows and Fairs

30 July at the Woodlands SUNDAY 30 JULY sees a new type of S P C A Fun Show  - an Any Pets/All Pets Show, so bring your Hampsters/Bunnies/Budges/Ponies/Ducks/Geese/Mice/Ferrets/Fish/Cats/Miniature Pigs/goats/Lambs/Guinea Pigs/Donkeys - bring them all. Don't miss it - You'll love it Maybe your pet Parrot wants a walk at 08.00 and your pet Mouse wants a run around at 10.00, there'll be Classes for everyone, so surprise me with the funniest pet.  And the funniest noises they make!!   Our friendly judges are Alice and Bonny that everyone loves.

19 & 20 August will give us 4 breed shows: KCH, ZKC and the two Eastern Highlands clubs. Closing date is 6 August, entries must go to Marianne Pitman’s home address.

27 August at the Woodlands and we're also planning a Pets Photographic Competition on SUNDAY 27 AUGUST so get taking those photos - and a Most Talented Pet, the One that can squawk tunefully, meow prettily or bark loudly!!

26 November at the Woodlands, again the Christmas Extravaganza show [Contact Editor for booking a stall or a site, to sell your Christmas goodies etc].- we'll also have another Open Breed Show for you then, so make a note in your diaries of these dates.

Condolences

Sadly Joyce and Alan had to put Jet down on 6 June.  Joyce has not managed to give me the final report but the last x ray showed a blockage to the stomach and at 12 and a half also not having eaten well for a wee while he was in no state to be operated on.

Dear friends,

Just a short note to let you all know that Rosie died

this morning after 12 wonderful years of 

living life to it's fullest.

She was a wonderful bitch and one of a kind to us.

She will be missed!

Gill Houghton lost her dear Yorky, due to a vicious kick, which resulted in collapsed lunch. The poor little one never had a chance to survive, Gill then had another mishap. Her Golden Fergy ate a plastic bag, this made her feel very uncomfortable and trying to get rid of it she then started to eat grass and sticks to make her puke, but this did not help and so she had to be operated on and seems to do well, thank goodness for that. This might make you all aware to make sure plastic bags are not around for our dogs to eat. Latest news about Fergy is back home and well again.

Prayer for Healing a Pet

Dear God,

I ask that you, Archangel Raphael, and the healing Angels surround my pet with your love energy.

Please help my pet and me to feel peace so that healing may occur. Please send us a miracle, knowing that everything is already healed in your eyes. I ask that you help me have faith and trust so that I may experience your love within my pet and within myself right now.

Some very dedicated dog handlers and trainers in Bulawayo. Helmut and Marlene Kappel as a team who trained: Ivo as an Obedience Champion and qualified CD, Uli Ob Ch, IPO 3, TD 2 and Breed ‘V’, Rudi [Uli’s son] Ob Ch, CD, IPO 1 Hexe Ob Ch, TD 2, IPO 3 qualifying 7 times! Pam Brennan started of with Helga CD, Target Class B & TD 1, Ebony Class Novice, Chanter Class Novice & CD, Banner, Sparkle Class B, TD 2 and ‘SG’ in Breed. Tango Class Novice & TD 3 ‘SG’ in Breed. Pam also was on various occasions the Pantomime producer and put up some lovely shows in Bulawayo gardens or even on stage with dogs like Ivo, Sacha, Chanter, Sparkle and Cindy’s Rottweilers and many more in the different years. A very busy group in Bulawayo and much fun each of them had.
