Apologies for not putting up the results of the Working Breed Club of Mashonaland on 27 May in last newsletter, here they are: BiS Great Dane ANVIN ZERVARGE: Mrs C. Jennings RBiS Dobermann HYSAND QUAESTA : Miss G. McLaughlan (at 6 months old) 3rd GSD SALONICA ECLIPSE AT TEGWYN :Mrs. A Bowling-Scott 4th. PWC KELLY VOM MOOSOCHER: Mrs. R. Wipf Best Puppy in Show was Quaesta and she won Best Opposite Sex and Members as well. We did very well for prizes!!! It was a very good day and I think that every one enjoyed themselves. None of your pups came, but thank you for entering them - it certainly made the catalogue look a lot better. There were two Qualifications in Beginners - Mrs. C. Thackray with a Labrador, Spirits Grieg, (First) and Mrs. A. Folkersten with an Australian Cattledog, Dinki Di (Second). The rest of the Obedience was OK but no other qualifications that I know of. No Qualifications in Dog Jumping but Dinki Di did a clear round but had 1 time penalty ! This was their first show, so they did very well indeed. I don't have the results for the next day. I was assessed as a judge for "B" Test and passed. Unfortunately Kirsten was being assessed as a judge for "C" Test and failed. He was most indignant but he hadn't got sufficient positions for Distance Control and chose very poor articles for Retrieve. He supplied very small pieces of carpet (suitable for area search), which the competitors had problems throwing and the dogs had problems finding. The field had a lot of leaves on it due to a rain storm the night before and although we had tried to sweep up the worst, there were obviously still leaves. Possibly there were other things - I don't know. Thank you Geraldine for sending me the results [Editor].

Gerry was also a fantastic assailant helper and Wade Armand, Roger Ashton who worked with him and us with our dogs have had some very good times and remember him as a joy to be with. Happy events: Errol Geoghegan has had a successful triple bypass done in Johannesburg and is well and enjoying life. 24 June Mukuvisi: I went out this morning to show my 2 dogs in an Open show, quite hilarious, as they both are mad dogs while in the ring. There was rather a sad incident. A whole troupe of handlers and the breeder came to show their
